"The Body Decides, The Mind Applies"

My mentor shared this beautiful piece of elemental wisdom and I have come to see just how accurate it is. The most recent example being the launch of my new service - the Swahili Door Tours. This entails viewing and basking in the magnificence of the doors that we have here in Lamu Island, which were handmade by past master woodcarvers.

I observed in myself that the decision was already made for me and it what was left was my physical mind to accept this and find ways to actualize it. It seems to me this decision was already made when I set my eyes on my first door about 3 years ago, during my visit to Lamu - which ended up changing the trajectory of my life. When I feel into it some more, it seems that this decision was already made when I was a young girl, being awed by the very tall trees I passed on my way to church. They seemed dark and forbidding & awesome!

I have made the decision to see this venture through and see what amazing lessons await me, to help me know myself even more! I am opening myself up to this new chapter and I am ecstatic to walk you through the streets of Lamu to view these pieces of historic architecture! Check out the offering here.
